Song Seung Heon become our one of favorite male lead when we watched his movie 'He was Cool' no doubt he really is cool and he nailed his character being an awesome lover in "Obsessed". Other then these we watched his memorable dramas like My princess, Time Slip Doctor Jin, Saimdang, Light's Diary.

Now we were glad to see him in a new character of a detective who was possessed by the soul of a Grim reaper. The Plot sound too interesting that we forgot to talk about the female lead Go Ara. She made us remember her character Aro from 'Hwarang'. But we watched her in 'Reply 1994' and You are all Surrounded.  

Song Seung Heon plays a role of Grim Reaper name Black, where as Go Ara plays the role of Ha Ram who can see the shadows of death. The to will surely going to give a the great chemistry for the super natural plot.

Black is a story based on the life of a detective who encounters Ha Ram, she has an extra ordinary ability by which she can see the shadow of death. She wears black sunglasses in order to avoid watching them. This made us remind of the recent drama "Let's Fight Ghost" "The Master's Sun" & "Goblin". Both the leads join hands to save the life of people and get themselves involve in breaking the rules of heaven. 

This drama will going to on air on OCN every Saturday & Sunday right after Save Me ends. Stay tuned for more latest updates and episode reviews.

Finally hwarang will be at its end. The Finale arrived and leaves the impression the King Ji Dwi will be useless to handle throne alone, Sun Woo might not become his rival to take the throne. Infact he will going to become his right hand and backbone to support him as the best king for Silla and shut all the officers mouth specially Ji Kyung.

He will bring the Hwarang to the Palace and support Ji dwi who was trying his best to win over his people. Hwarang army and Sun Woo with their honesty and support will make a better Silla. As Sun Woo saw the truth in Ji Dwi's word we believe he made the right choice.
Still we couldn't understand the Evil Queen who was a clueless women she took lives, made sacrifice to protect the throne for her son. Also she was aware that she was poisoned but she didn't gave up that seems too much foolish of her.

The preview for the finale made us glad finally Sun Woo save his friendship with Ji Dwi and other Hwarang regardless of his status and job. To support the King along with Hwarang will surely make Silla free of status. We couldn't see So Hoo and wish there could be a detailed end for Ban Ryu.

There are still many things we need to knew the end for Sun Woo and A Ro, the reaction of the officials and the Queen. Also about Sun Woo and A Ro's father will they support the youth decision. Looking forward for the final episode to see the crowning ceremony of Ji Dwi.

After all the revelation that Sun Woo is the rightful owner of the throne Queen become more agitated and we come to see for the throne what she did in the past messing up the Royal Family life. She end up killing her friend comrade who was also the Munhwa.

The officials demand Queen to step down from the throne and allow the king to take over but things turned out hectic as Sun Woo appear to be the rival for Ji Dwi. As the story for Hwarang Sun Woo definitely be the first line to take over the throne he already done more to save Silla and has guts to control in future. A Ro was saved but still was unconscious yet she once again receives Sun Woo's confession.

Now we think the main theme of Hwarang become a bit distracted from the main story line. There wasn't any specific development in Hwarang training as we have seen in many korean dramas like "Iljaeme", "City Hunter" and many others.
Also the two episode are not enough to make a sense who will be the rightful owner of throne. A very less time for Sun Woo and Ji Dwi to show up as the rivals. It could be much more better this tage revealed when the two join Hwarang. It was the flaw of the story, lot of time wasted to reveal the faceless king and develop courage to engage audience in the triangle love story. It solely our opinion but watching Hwarang a unique story was good enough to become a memory.

Watching the turn of Hwarang story we become really angry over the Evil Queen just for the throne she was pulling the strings one after the other. After establishing hwarang now she was after to control Hwarang and made them kneeled down infront of her means she didn't want to the king to take over the throne.

To control Hwarang she now dragged Ah Ro and princess Myung to turned them into Munhwa who will take control over Hwarang. Watching this we become a little disappointed but happy when Moo Myung past revealed. He was the sacred bone and the rival of Ji Dwi.  He finally met his father and knew the truth why he lived his life like that. We were sorry for Han Sung death and glad he saved the king.

A Ro was too confident yet been dragged into Munhwa, her confidence make the Queen more fearful. For some reasons we feel there must be a deep connection why A Ro end up being a Munhwa.
The Evil Queens' conspiracies didn't got a stop and she plans to finish off Sun Woo when knew the truth. But A Ro gave her life and took the arrow to save sun Woo. There are still two episode left and we couldn't guess what will be the future of Silla, Ji Dwi , Sun Woo and A Ro. Stay tuned to find out what will going to happen next.

The hwarang receive their third task to learn arrow shooting and fighting. A ro avoided Sun Woo after she knew that he was not her biological brother yet she couldn't stay away from him so she kept an eye how he was doing while the arrow shooting practice.

Sun Woo was the quick learner but unfortunately he was suffering from a disease and in stress he lose his consciousness same happened while he was practicing. A Ro when saw Sun Woo fell and got fainted she was all worried and tried to give him the first aid the CPR.

It wasn't of any help she started crying and also confess her feeling how she feels about him and he can't die like this. It was the momentary lost consciousness Sun Woo breath was back he heard A ro's confession and accepting her feelings by Kissing her. It was too sudden that A ro was surprised. the scene reminded us of "the K2 CPR Kiss" in the wonderland.

It was really fun watching Silla's hwarang and their training. After completing the first two task as a reward they receive a holiday. The troublemaker get back at their old self and gather at the tea house. The cutie Han Sung had a mouth of a women who can't stay silent. He spilled the beans about So Hoo remember everything except the chest.

Yeo Woll try to concel the truth by making him silent but So Hoo noticed and at the same time Soo Yeon appear ignoring his brother and left.  So Hoo then reminded of the town market incident and in anger follow Soo yeon.

He saw his sister with Ban Ryu in the other room he couldn't think of anything else just punch ban ryu. the other try to stop him but nothing of help except Soo yeon smash the liquor bottle on So hoo head and helped Ban ryu to leave the room. It was the most unexpected situation for Yeo Wool and Ha Sung.

She afterwards talk with So Hoo and clear the misunderstanding that she it thinking it was him at the town market. It make So hoo in anger when Soo yeon call Ban ryu a gentleman and told him to leave him alone. Finally the mystery solve although So hoo has the nasty nature but after the misunderstanding got clear he become a bit normal with Ban Ryu.

The troublemaker group of hwarang make up at the time but was a bit late because of So Hoo and ban Ryu. They caught up inside the hwarang while carrying So Hoo towards the room. The punishment for them was ready the next morning to carry Master Vi Hwa and finish 100 turns.

During their rounds they didn't stay silent yet argued and blame each other. While the rest were gossiping about Ban ryu who did something with So Hoo's sister. The rumor of them spread fast like a fire. We wonder what will be So Hoo's reaction when he realize what happened last night.

It was the toughest punishment we thought they might faint but Master Vi hwa end up with upset stomach ending up vomiting on them. While they screamed it was really unfair with them. After the double punishment they took a bath together, this scene reminded us of the bath scene in " The K2" and "Entourage".

The rumors of last night were also the talk in the town market the next da. Soo yeon feels really embarrassing what the people talk about but she can't reveal the truth which got complicated because of So Hoo. At hwarang house every one surprised to see Ban ryu's change behaviour with So Hoo.

The second task for hwarang was entertainment and music. The flower boys will going to play the music and dance for the Queen. It was Master Woo Reuk who taught them how to play music and make it more entertaining for the others to enjoy.

Sun Woo couldn't make up practice alone as he only knew how to use the body to fight. A ro helped him during the practice and th etwo had a really fun time.

Finally after a hard work the hwarang able to practice the sward dance. It was really the unique dance for us and for master Vi hwa too. We couldn't believe in ancient time this type of dance could be common too. Wishing best of luck for their second task and looking forward an entertaining result from Silla's hwarang.

It was so fun watching Hwarang, we really made beautiful memories and realize where any Hwarang is there couldn't be peace. hwarang in other words knowns the group of troublemakers who can't stay put. So these troublemakers together make a scheme and sneak out of hwarang after the curfew. They decided to came back exact at 3 am to the spot from they were leaving.

Sun Woo went to his house it was mother anniversary, Ji dwi also wanted to meet the Queen. For So  Hoo and Yeo Wool they ran the giesang house to have fun. It was Ban Ryu who was no where to go so he went to the market to spend time. Soo yeon who was there and saw So Hoo passing by wanted to take revenge on him.

But things weren't good for her as soon she grope the butt of So hoo to make him embarrass and surprise him things turned out more embarrassing for her. It wasn't So Hoo but Ban Ryu who was more startled then Soo yeon.
His eyes pooped out before he could say anything Soo yeon acted as if he did something bad to her. Every one at the market notice the situation and assume Ban ryu touch the bosoms of Seo yeon.

 So hoo along with Yeo Wool saw the crowd and misunderstood the whole situation when saw Seo Yeon slap Ban Ryu. Before he could make a move and fight with Ban Ryu Seo yoon hit So Hoo's head, she apologize Ban Ryu for the situation. It was the first time when any women touch Ban Ryu face and make his heart flutter. Looking forward to their chemistry in further episodes.

We can't feel any excitement as the story moves further the chemistry between Sun Woo and A ro looks a bit flat. Other then romance they just argue and ignore or A ro start crying, seeing these things our expectations as fans bit down. We thought Hwarang the beginning  will going to nail something unique in romance and story line like "Moon Lovers Scarlet Heart Reyo" and "Love in the Moonlight".

Princess Myung finally shows intimate excitement for Sun Woo though she denied it infront of Queen and now she kissed Sun Woo. A Ro witness this and feels huts. We wonder what will be her reaction when Sun Woo wakes up.

Things become twisted enough that Ji Dwi and Sun Woo argued. beside making things and relation for the future they end up taking out their frustration on each other. Ji Dwi already realize what Master Wi Hwa told him not everything been told is the truth and not what you see is the reality.
Although he couldn't understand the logical meaning but he made his final decision and reveal himself as the faceless king of Silla. He took his bracelet and threat Master Young Sil to stay put or he won't avoid the results for his reactions. There will be more twist when the Queen will find another truth hidden by his brother ten years ago. Three episode remaining and lot more to knew about hwarang and it secrets so stay tuned to find out what will going to happen next.

Its not the troublemaker will let anything at peace. they just need a chance to break the rule and get punished. After Sun Woo beat Ji Dwi for his inappropriate action towards A Ro we for sure knew Ji dwi won't hold back and will take revenge on Sun Woo.

But before Ji Dwi could do anything Sun Woo caught by Master Vi hwa for breaking the rule and wondering alone late at night after curfew hours. The next morning the whole group receive the punishment and it was a really fun kind punishment we never seen before in any Seaguk.

The five become really annoyed for the sudden punishment as they had to carry Master Vi Hwa on the litter and make rounds. They become too exhausted and afterwards they were put to do the laundry. It was the most difficult task for them except Sun Woo.

Before coming to Silla he use to live alone and do the work by himself. Every one cursed him and made him do their laundry in exchange of punishment. This scene and the making was really funny the bloopers were too hilarious that made us laugh.

Ji Dwi couldn't help himself stay away from A ro and always sneak a chance to hang around her. She was too angry on his act and try to avoid but nothing worked on him so she use a secret method to take revenge.
No doubt she was bold enough to do thing out of her way. She use acupuncture to freeze Ji dwi's movement and threat him directly its just a warning if he did it again she will take revenge on his manhood lolx. For the moment Ji dwi really seems scared.

Unusual happenings didn't got a stop in Hwarang as the troublemakers were there. Sun Woo took a class from So Hoo about brother sister friendly relationship. So Hoo who never treated her sister like a sister yet confidently told all awkward things he do when ever saw her. he believes doing this develop a better relationship between siblings.

Poor Sun Woo believes everything So Hoo told him and applied it on A Ro. From his side he did an awesome job being natural but for A Ro she couldn't understand why sudden;y Sun Woo did acupuncture on her head lolx.

It was fun watching the exams in Silla's hwarang. In ancient time the students also do cheating in a hilarious yet unique way. Although the question for the exam was given to them before hand they prepared unique ways to cheat and not to caught by Master Vi hwa.

The result for the exams didn't satisfied A Ro as Ji dwi's blank sheet got a pass while Sun Woo who wrote and answer was failed. She argued with Master Vi hwa who was in a hurry and wanted to leave badly for bathroom.

But A Ro didn't let him go till she take out all her anger and Master Vi hwa situation become more funny and sympathetic in a way he was being scold by little A Ro and end up peed right there. We laugh enough and realize Master Vi hwa never been scolded even by the Queen and A Ro has the guts to scold him in Hwarang.

As expected there were task for the Hwarang to accomplish and pass the level for their actual training. The first task Master Vi Hwa set for them was about "King and Water". It was really confusing for us too what make him threw a question like this.

We were curious to knew their answer and the result will surely interesting. A Ro was worried for his brother Sun Woo who didn't knew much about alphabets and was weak in reading and writing. She reminded what her father said to teach Sun Woo it will be helpful for him to survive him in Hwarang.

She teaches Sun Woo but it was really fun we watch in the bloopers. As for the episode scene Sun Woo really had fun with A Ro aside to learn how to write.
Ji dwi become a bit jealous of them spending time. he jumped in and request A ro to take him in as a student. Now A ro become a sandwich between Ji dwi and Sun Woo.

While teaching with the drawing Ji Dwi ask A ro to explain why she choose this drawing. In reply A Ro relate the bird to the pitiful king which provoke Ji Dwi that she might be pitting on him. He forcefully kiss A Ro. It was too sudden she shocked and we were surprised. Neither of us though of this bold step by the King.

A Ro also resisted and pushed him away. She was afraid what if Sun Woo saw it. It will be embarrassing and much more difficult to stay in Hwarang. It was the total rejection from A Ro's side she never though Ji Dwi and neither see him as the man. She smacked his head and hearing some footstep sound she hold tight Ji dwi not to move and make noise.

It was really fun watching hwarang. We never though we could got to see the making and the lighter scenes the team enjoyed while shooting. The first few episodes were too hilarious full of funny incidents yet their making seems make us realize the actors to make mistakes, laugh and make us smile too.
Its not like in the first go they perform the best we saw in the episode. The retakes and embarrassing moments become their memory. Here are few clicks we really enjoyed how they mad mistakes pronouncing the names calling each other and specially the writing session where the three main leads really enjoyed.

As we expected the story now turns out a little lame. How the Queen and the Princess acted really make us frustrated, we never though she would announce Dog Bird Sun Woo as the King using her sister as the bait to blackmail him.

We bearly couldn't get any idea what she up to. But this situation makes Ji Dw show his dark side and realize that he is no more a coward like a mouse. This isn't it Ji dwi witness Sun Woo & A Ro kissing in Hwarang house. Look like he had already the idea they aren't blood related siblings.
It will be tough enough to get along after witnessing their romance. But acting like this for the King couldn't resolve anything just making things more difficult and tougher by the acting Ji dwi was showing. He should focus on becoming more strong to reveal himself as the king and rule Silla.

He was all depressed it was Master Wi Hwa who gave courage to him being strong and facing difficulties is the only option he can resolve things fast and easy. Look like there will be another twist as Princess finally recognize Ji Dwi and calls him brother.

He propose A Ro to live with him and he will going to give up the throne. Wonder what's more important for him A Ro or the future of Silla. Looking forward to the next episode.
