tvN's new fantasy Chicago Typewriter displays the life of the best seller writer and the ghost writer from 1930. A female legendary part timer was the first fan of the best seller writer, she suffers from the trauma of seeing some images and scenes whenever she holds a gun. The three of them were somehow connected from the past to the present.
Watching the first episode we were a bit confused how its shifting from past and the present yet it was interesting as the plot was fantasy suspense thriller. The first episode starts with the routine life of writer Se Joo who starts work like a machine and wants everything to be perfect in time.
Han Se Joo goes to Chicago for a book signing event after releasing a successful novel who breaks the records. There at the coffee shop he encounter mysterious voices "Hey Buddy" and also a strangely voice of type writer appears, look like the type writer was haunted by some ghost.

We wonder how the typewriter concern to be with Han Se Joo. Nothing could be predicted. The package was delivered by Jeon Seol who was a legendary part timer and a fan of Se Joo. From the childhood she wanted to marry the writer, she was intelligent and completed the medical school but couldn't continue her field end up becoming a part timer to earn her livelihood.
Han Se Joo always avoid the crowd and meeting the people but things happened he had an office meeting at Chef Won Dae han restaurant who has a very lively personality not caring what other thinks. He always love to do what he want. He had a crush on Jeon Seol and always distribute fortune cookies to everyone.
Jeon Seol delivered the package to Han Se Joo but he refuse to open the door. Suddenly a dog appears out of no where and make way for Seol to enter the house. Se Joo order to leave the package but the starry dog lets Seol in, she thinks the dog was Se Joo's pet dog so she followed but the dog make a way into the house. Later it was revealed han Se Joo was allergic to dog fur.
He first doubted Seol and then ask her to get rid of that dog. Nothing could be done before they could reach the dog he swallowed Han Se Joo USB in the shape of bone. This frustrated Se Joo as all his work and drafts were in the USB. The dog was too clever he ran out of the house but thanks to Jeon Seol who manage to make friend with him.
Han Se Joo and Seol took that starry dog to the veterinary Hospital in order to take the USB out. Seol was happy to get the USB without any operation. Later it revealed she got it out from the dog's poop.
We really laugh when Han Se Joo become all cringe as his neat personality he can't develop the courage to touch the USB so he ask Seol to do a favor by transferring all the date into the mail. He also offered her his laptop along with the double amount she charge for the part time work. That's how the two become closer and interact with each other.
Chef Dae Han was happy after receiving Writer Han Se Joo autograph, Jeon Seol splash water by saying she was the one who has Han Se Joo laptop and also visited his house to help him as a part timer. It was Seol's long time dream which nearly come true.
Her aunt was a shaman an can foresee what will going to happen in the future. She was worried for Seol what if she again seeing the things or images.
The next day the veterinary doctor call Han Se Joo to take the dog from the clinic but he refuse and denied to own the dog so she connected through his sectary. It was a surprise for him because Se joo don't own a dog.
Things weren't good for Se Joo as his one of the fan becomes the stalker and end up at Se Joo's house. There he blames him for making him kill the people who made life harder and difficult for him. It was a really complicated situation for Se Joo he tried to calm him saying he didn't wrote anything to pursue him it was just a fantasy Novel but the stalker fan claims that Se Joo with his writing send a message to him that's why he killed the character.
Suddenly the light flicker with the gud shot at Se Joo house we thought a bugler barged in but thanks God it wasn't the bugler. Jeon Seol was there holding a gun and pointing towards the stalker fan. Her entry was really impressive for Se Joo and for us. She in no time knocn down the stalker.
